Pamela, Since June of 1996, Pamela Puryear has been the Hospital Manager at Faithful Friends Animal Hospital. In addition to her years of experience, she attended the Veterinary Management School and is currently studying for certification in veterinary practice management.

“I really like working with my husband to help make our clients’ pets’ lives long, happy and healthy ones,” she says. “I also love the clients and their animals, especially when I get to play with the baby puppies and kittens.”

When she isn’t running our office, Pamela enjoys reading, going to the gym, going on motorcycle rides, sitting on the porch swing and listening to the sounds of life around her. At home, she has a mixed breed named Leroy Brown, Collie named Maria, English Bulldog named Lizzy, and a grey Tabby named Swat.

Amy, Veterinary TechnicianVeterinary Technician Amy Pesek has been with Faithful Friends Animal Hospital since March of 2000 and has been in the animal care field since 1988. Her duties include assisting our doctors with all facets of animal care such as surgery, routine exams, vaccinations, and caring for hospitalized animals.

“I enjoy the level of care we are able to provide, technically and spiritually for the clients,” she says of her work. “Our clients are caring and appreciative, which makes it a joy to work with and for them.”

Her animal family includes an Airedale mix named Georgia and a Corgi mix named Max. She likes to spend her free time reading, gardening, working with local veterans groups, spending time with family and friends, and caring for her dogs.

Tania, Veterinary TechnicianVeterinary Technician Tania Gerth has been with Faithful Friends Animal Hospital since 2000. She holds an Associate’s degree in Applied Science with an emphasis on Veterinary Technology and a Certificate of Completion of National Boards with the National Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners.

“I enjoy working with my coworkers and the specific clients at this clinic,” she says when asked what she enjoys most about her work. “I also enjoy learning and expanding my knowledge while working with our veterinarians.”

Tania’s pets include a Miniature Pinscher named Keiko, a Boston Terrier named Clebbur, and a Dwarf Rabbit named Iris. Her interests include working out, spending time with her family, and outdoor activities.

Constance, Veterinary NurseVeterinary Nurse Constance Inkster has been a member of the Faithful Friends Animal Hospital staff since July of 2009, but has worked in the pet care field since 2003. Her primary responsibilities are helping to care for the pets during procedures and exams and client education.

“I love working with a family oriented practice,” she says of her work with us. “We have a great team and the doctors are all amazing and very down-to-earth. I consider everyone here to be my other family.”

At home, Constance has a South African Boerboel named Carlo. Her interests include gardening, cooking and spending time with her husband and kids.

Lynne, Veterinary TechnicianLynne Roedema has been a receptionist with Faithful Friends Animal Hospital since 1989. She is a graduate of Miami Dade College and has previously lived at a wolf sanctuary, owned a wolf hybrid and participated in educational programs. Her duties with us include answering all types of pet health questions, setting up appointments, preparing files for incoming clients, and weighing pets.

“The employees and clients are great here, like extended family after 22 years of providing care,” she says of her work. “The pets love coming here and the smiles are the payoff.”

Lynne has two rescued dogs, a Border Collie named Shilo and a Lab named Chance. When asked about her interests, she says, “I live out in the mountains, it’s a three hour daily commute, but I enjoy the deer, bear, coyotes and foxes in my yard. I also like fishing, hiking and photography.”

Amanda Archuleta is one of our receptionists and has been with Faithful Friends since the summer of 2004. In addition to her years of experience, she has a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Elementary Education from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.

“I love working with animals and people that love animals as much as I do,” she says of her work. “I also really enjoy helping families with new additions to the family.”

Amanda has a Husky named McKinly and an Australian Shepherd named Yeti. Her interests include hiking, camping, fishing, scrapbooking, baking and cooking.

Receptionist Sydney Jerrard first started working at Faithful Friends Animal Hospital in 2003, and returned in March of 2011 after a brief break. Her father is a retired veterinarian, so she basically has been involved in animal care her entire life.

“Dr. Puryear reminds me a lot of my father when he was a practicing veterinarian,” she says. “His ethics and compassion for what he does is rare. Our clients also make work enjoyable and I have known many of them for years and shared both the good and the bad with them and their pets.”

Her pets include Butter Bean, a Miniature Schnauzer and two cats, one with just three legs and the other with one eye. Sydney’s interests include outdoor activities, travel, cooking, and gardening.

A senior at Colorado Springs Christian Schools, Anna Speer joined the staff of Faithful Friends Animal Hospital as a Receptionist in March of 2011.

“The people here are really nice,” she says. “On my first day I felt comfortable because everyone helped me understand what I needed to do.”

She has a Yorkie named Bailey. When not working or in school, Anna enjoys playing basketball, cooking, and hanging out with her family and friends.

Danny Puryear is a Kennel Assistant at Faithful Friends Animal Hospital and has been with us since the summer of 2009. Looking forward to college, he says he plans on spending his freshman year at Pikes Peak Community College and then moving on to the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.

“The people here are easy to get along with and are very friendly,” he says. “Walking the dogs is a lot of fun and I count it as my quality alone time.”

At home, Danny has an English Bulldog. His interests include snowboarding, dirt biking, hanging with friends, working out with his dad (Dr. Puryear), and going to the pool.
