The doctors and staff of Faithful Friends Animal Hospital understand that it is impossible for a successful veterinary practice to be divorced from the communities it serves. As far as we are concerned, Colorado Springs and our region of the Rocky Mountains is one of the most beautiful places on the planet, and is blessed with wonderful people and communities. We know that if it were not for our friends and neighbors we would not have been able to achieve all that we have.

For us, giving back to our community is an important piece of who we are. Our doctor and staff donate time and money to our local schools, churches, and civic organizations. We also take great pride in sharing our veterinary expertise with the community.

By way of example, we routinely work with and support the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region. We also volunteer services and provide support for 9 Lives Rescue and Dreampower Animal Rescue. Both of these nonprofit organizations play an important role in providing care and adoption services for unwanted animals in and around Colorado Springs.

Our doctor also provides care for the El Paso County Sherriff Office’s K-9 Unit, the City of Fountain K-9 Unit, and some of the dogs from the U.S. Forest Service.

We also routinely give talks to kids in our schools on animal care and veterinary career opportunities as well as support Catholic Charities of Colorado Springs in their efforts to feed and care for the homeless. Dr. William Puryear has also helped teach self-defense classes to victims of domestic and other forms of violence.

In all, we are proud of our efforts, both in time and monetary support, to help make our community a better place for us all. Without the efforts of the people and organizations of Colorado Springs, our beautiful mountain home would not be all that it is today.
